By proposing cinema documentary workshops, our aim is to get in touch with mediterranean migration throught the development of new narrations: rather than being extra, the participants themselves will be directors and protagonists of their own film.

The objective is that people directly concerned (associations, migrants, locals...) acquire technical and theoretical resources to be able to tell themselves, choosing the modalities of their representations. We have identified the cinema documentary as a possible tool towards self-determination and diffusion of complex narratives. Finally, as a different medium compared to mainstream ones, which are deficient and discriminating.

Our workshops are based on the production of short documentary films with accessible tools (mobile phones, basic microphones, editing applications on phones...). These objects, which are already very present in society, can become efficient tools of artistic creation.

We want to follow "popular education" by doing discussion, sharing experiences, making experiments.
